Math 10 – Metric/Imperial Conversions

Remember chapter one? No?

Here are some videos to help you out with conversions in case it’s slipped your mind.

  • Always start with the quantity and units given in the question and multiply by equivalent conversion fractions (ex. 1 km / 1000 m or 1 min / 60 sec)
  • The unit you are trying to convert to is on the top, and the unit you would like to get rid of is on the bottom so the units cancel when you multiply.
  • You can multiply by as many conversion fractions as necessary to get the units you want.

Did this help you? Are there any other topics you would like a post about to help you study?
